2022 The Queen's Reign – Honours and Investitures £5 Silver Proof Piedfort

Celebrate the historic 70-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II with the 2022 Honours and Investitures £5 Silver Proof Piedfort Coin, officially issued by The Royal Mint during Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee year.

The first release in The Queen's Reign collection honours the monarch's role in recognising extraordinary service, courage and achievement. Its intricately engraved reverse, designed by P. J. Lynch, features distinguished medals including the Victoria Cross, George Cross and Distinguished Flying Cross, together with Queen Elizabeth II's signature. The Queen's Reign series was the first UK coin collection to feature her signature.

Struck in 56.56g of .925 sterling silver to a mirror-finish Proof Piedfort standard, the coin is approximately twice the weight and thickness of the standard 28.28g silver proof edition. It contains approximately 52.32g of fine silver.

Only 1,500 limited-edition presentations were authorised, with a maximum coin mintage of 1,510. Complete with its original Royal Mint case, themed outer packaging, commemorative booklet and individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
