2026 Chernobyl 40th Anniversary – 1 oz Fine Silver Glow-in-the-Dark Medal

A striking limited-edition silver collectible created to mark 40 years since the Chernobyl nuclear disaster of 26 April 1986.

Struck from 1 troy ounce of fine silver, the medal features a haunting gas-mask design surrounded by imagery associated with Chernobyl and Pripyat, including the ruined nuclear site and the abandoned Ferris wheel. The historic date 26.04.1986 appears prominently beneath the design.

The medal is finished with a vivid Space Green colour effect, designed to evoke radiation and contamination, while selected areas also feature a dramatic glow-in-the-dark treatment that transforms the design when viewed in low light.

The reverse features a detailed compass rose with the inscriptions “ONE OUNCE” and “999.9 FINE SILVER”, together with the cardinal points N, E, S and W.

With a worldwide mintage of only 500 pieces, this is a genuinely scarce modern silver collectible aimed at collectors of historical, disaster-themed and speciality bullion issues.
