The reverse features a mature goat, a young goat and a baby goat resting and grazing peacefully in a rugged mountain landscape. A delicate plum blossom tree completes the scene, traditionally associated with purity, resilience and hope. The design is inspired by the auspicious saying “Three Goats Bring Bliss”, symbolising the arrival of spring, renewal and prosperity.
Look for the Chinese character for Goat, the inscription GOAT 2027 and the Perth Mint's iconic P mintmark. The reverse also incorporates a micro-engraved security letter, visible under magnification. The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of King Charles III, alongside the weight, purity and Australian $2 denomination.
